Fire Safety

Fire is one of the devastating and deadly event if occurred and not controlled properly. The fire can start anywhere in the office, at the workplace, at a public place, in the market or at home. It is one of the legal requirements for the employer to take all preventive measures to ensure that the employees and the premises under their control are safe from the risk of fire.

It is observed that these types of hazards are rarely taken very seriously by the employers while this is one of the legal duties towards employer. The consequences of fire incident could be the loss of life, loss of property, loss of business reputation and huge financial loss to the organization in the form of compensation to the person affected, repair and maintenance of the equipment and machinery damaged, renovation of building damaged during the fire incident and the fine imposed on the organization because of non-compliance of legal requirement.

Fire prevention and firefighting training undertaken with the IHSM will develop the knowledge, skill and competence to prevent fire and take all necessary steps to stop fire from turning into a catastrophic incident.
