Scaffold

BASIC SCAFFOLDING TRAINING

Scaffolding is a temporary framework structure constructed with the help of tube and wooden planks to provide a stable working platform, a means of support and access to perform a work at height and to help keep some limited number of materials and tools. The scaffolding is used for routine maintenance, renovation, construction, and alteration activities. It also provides convenient and safe working conditions as compared to conventional working arrangements like overhead stretching work, use of ladders, etc. Negligence in the proper use of scaffolding can result in devastating consequences such as injury to personnel, damage to property and even death. Therefore the scaffolding should be erected, modified and dismantled by competent scaffolders only.
